I'm about half way through this and really enjoying it, I didn't expect it to be so sinister and creepy! Anyone else read it?

Yes, I'm almost finished. I am enjoying it although don't want to read it at night as its very unsettling!

I have been side-tracked with a novel called 29 Seconds by T M Logan but will get to the end of The Assistant this weekend. Read in daylight of course Smile

@CromfordGreyhound I'm looking forward to finding out who is tormenting her, think I might have an idea who it is!

Just finished the book in daylight hours-it wasn't something to read late at night!

What a dark and disturbing read. Did you guess Jo's tormentor? I didn't but putting all the pieces together it makes sense when the identity is revealed.

Hope you enjoyed it too Smile

No I didn't guess I thought it was someone completely different! It was a good ending and definitely kept me guessing, his books are so good!

I’m hating this book. Regret buying it.

I’m 1/3 through. Is the end worth the tedious start

Boredsilly · 18/07/2020 20:16

@TomNook definitely not one of the authors best books, I got bored in the middle

@TomNook you do want to read it to the end keep going!

Yes, agree the novel does seem drawn out with some repetition.

The pace does pick up towards the end so hope you decide to continue!
