Hi,
Looking for feedback on the Sherlock Holmes. I was thinking of getting thr Aufible version, read by Stephen Fry. I used to enjoy Sherlock Holmes TV version as a kid but didn't like the recent films. I have never read the book.

Any fans out there? Any advice welcome.

I’ve had numerous print versions – people keep borrowing them and then not returning them – recently bought the Penguin Complete Sherlock Holmes. Great to dip in and out of…I’ve never tried the Stephen Fry version but have listened to some of the BBC dramatizations on CD and liked them, might be worth looking on YouTube to see if they have any free to stream. I didn’t rate the recent films either or the revamped BBC TV version but I did enjoy Elementary which is a reimagining but seems truer to the spirit of the books than some of the straight adaptations.

Many thanks for your reply. Audible charges only 1 credit for the entire set, which us pretty good I think. Will have a look at the reviews

I've got them - replaced another audible one I had, and it is definitely better. There's an introduction, too.
