Looking for easy read kindle books that are not taxing! In my late teens /early twenties I would read several books a week. I loved the early Jane Green ones (not her later ones since she moved to the states). Also liked Sheila O Flanagan, Adele Parks etc.
Can you recommend any decent books that are easy to pick up and where the sex is decent! I’ve got out of the habit of reading and want some easy reads. Thanks.

Anyone?
I’ve just read The Hating Game by Sally Thorne. I absolutely loved it. Can anyone recommend something similar please?

I really like Helen Hoang's books - The Kiss Quotient in particular was really good.

I’ve just read a couple of Mhairi MacFarlane and they made me laugh through an otherwise miserable week. Lovely writing and funny dialogue - but the sex quotient is low.
I’ve recommended Australian writer Kylie Scott before - sex and witty dialogue.
Or you might go a bit less contemporary with a Jennifer Crusie, who is, for my money, the funniest romance writer. Try Welcome to Temptation.

Thanks both. I will look at those.

Just an update....The Kiss Quotient was fab! As was one by M McFarlene. Read a really good one by Kylie Scott that was all about being in lockdown with COVID. That one must have been written fairly quickly.
Thanks all - just the sort of books I was after!

That’s good to hear! I love it when you can recommend a book someone enjoys.

Shayla Black is a decent author I don't know about comedy but the sex is all there
Lovingitinlockdown · 12/08/2020 16:58
Thanks @CocoBryceDidAcidWithMe I will look her up.
Have read some good ones recently by Elle Kennedy & Donna Allam. Both seem to have quite a few and are often linked which I like. I've never read so many books!

Marian Keyes is brilliant although she does deal with some heavy topics so not easy reading exactly. Also try Ciara Geraghty, Paige Toon, Isabelle Broom and Lindsey Kelk.

Oh thanks @PopcornAndWine - I love finding new authors. I've not come across these. Thanks 😊

Freya north, great stories and great sex
One that sticks in my mind was Tour de France 🇫🇷
ThomasHardyPerennial · 17/08/2020 13:39
Glad you enjoyed The Kiss Quotient, op. I'm off to look up some of your recommendations, thanks!
PopcornAndWine · 17/08/2020 19:13
@Lovingitinlockdown you're welcome. I have plenty more where they came from, I love my women's fiction
thefemaleJoshLyman · 17/08/2020 19:15
Definitely Freya North, the Tour de France one (Cat?) is great. I enjoy all of them though.

Try Well Groomed and Kiss Chase by Fiona Walker - they are about 20 years old now but have aged well. Basically they’re like a sexier & funkier Jilly Cooper with a lot of humour and sexual tension. Definitely recommend!
jamaisjedors · 25/08/2020 21:15
Christina Lauren is very readable, "Sweet filthy boy" - lots of sex !
Standrewsschool · 25/08/2020 21:17
Jilly Cooper and Jackie Collins!

Thanks for the recommendations. I've just found another good author - TL Swan. Her novels tend to be a bit longer and they also have more of a story to them. The Takeover was really funny and I actually LOL'd a few times too. Our Way was another good one that was quite a different take on the usual romantic story but with lots of sex too!
