I'm at the point where I want to change my life, change career, become more confident and make more friends.

Any self help book recommendations?

James smith not a diet book

The Paul McKenna books are very easy to follow and I find very effective
e.g. The 3 Things That Will Change Your Destiny Today!

Feel the Fear and Do it Anyway is excellent

Tony Robbins is not everyones cup of tea but I think his techniques are very powerful - have a look on u tube

Have a look at Oprah Winfrey's recommendations too.

Pod casts are free and have lots of self help ideas

Feel Better In 5: Your Daily Plan to Supercharge Your Health
by Dr Rangan Chatterjee - this is based on science and the author's experience as a GP helping people to change their life
It involves doing 3 things for 5 minutes a day and can make powerful changes
He has a free pod cast too

'Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway' I believes saved my life.

Every book the author wrote afterwards was a waste of paper as it was just a rehash of the same support but Feel the Fear did it for me.

I bought the book about 6 times having given it away each time.

The Untethered Soul by Michael Singer and another vote here for Feel the Fear.

I found "Where Is Your Lighthouse?" by Jorg Knoblauch very useful in guiding me in a fulfilling new direction.
"The Four Desires" by Rod Stryker combines great wisdom with a series of yoga poses that complement its message.
"How to be an Adult in Relationships: The Five Keys to Mindful Loving" by David Richo should be read by everyone.
