MN is often really good at this.
Amazon couldn't help.
Ok, it was probably published in the 1990s, but could be 10 years or so out.
It's set in london.
The main character- who could be called bella (or might not be) is a petite thing. I'm thinking blonde. Men see her, and think things like "instead of wanting to protect her, want to hurt her" and 'bella' (it might not be bella) decides she has "had enough". This is a running theme through the book. She gets a bit solo Thelma and louise. At some point she acquires a weapon, a knife or a gun.
There's a homeless woman a group of men randomly attack, and "bella" steps in.
I've got a feeling the word "weekend " appears in the title. The Lost Weekend or something?
Anyone got any clue?
If so, who was the author???
Many thanks in advance
