Spoilers
This was my first time trying this author and I suspect I didn’t pick the best book to begin.
It’s told in the first person, and in a very self indulgent, navel gazing way.
It could have done with a more intense edit, and was smattered with tiny errors which grated. Dead boy’s age for example.
And the clues seemed laboured and the reveal a bit too, clunky perhaps?
Wonder what other people think, or if I just didn’t gel with the book.
I’ll definitely try another of his as they get a good review generally.
