Up to page 175 and finding it rather dull.

I gave up and slated it to friends that had read it...then read the rest only to find that it is one of the most beautiful books i HAVE EVER READ AND CANT FIND A DECENT BOOK TO COMPARE IT TO. OOPS CAPS...sorry

slalomsuki · 06/09/2007 18:38

I gave up well before page 175

I only finished as was in book club and even though do not like not finishing books would have stopped this much earlier ...hated it....absolute rubbish...I was extreme at the club, but no one loved it though......

Give up, it's rubbish.

Theclosetpagan · 07/09/2007 15:38

I really enjoyed it but hated Labyrinth which other people just raved about. Tis a funny thing personal taste.

Flibbertyjibbet · 07/09/2007 15:38

Give it up. If it was a dvd that you were bored with watching you'd go and do something else wouldn't you?

DaDaDa · 10/09/2007 17:41

I thought it was utter rubbish. Speaking [deep voice] as a man I found the male characters totally unbelievable, and the whole idea quite unpleasant.

KD73 · 10/09/2007 17:42

I loved it - what have you to lose to finish it?

Sidge · 11/09/2007 22:50

Well, I gave up and took it back to the library so some other poor soul can be bored to sleep by it

Now I have a new book to read!

I gave it up, but didn't get nearly as far as you. Used to think it was bad karma not to finish books. Now think life's too short not to give up when it's not happening for you - plenty of books out there that will be. p175 though - that's quite an investment. How about skimming the rest unless you fix on a good bit?

ArthurScarCOD · 11/09/2007 22:58
