Up to page 175 and finding it rather dull.

Shall I cut my losses now, or does it get better??

oh I did too. keep thinking I should give it another go - although don't think I got that far

pippo · 30/08/2007 22:33

I can't remember what happens up to pg 175 but I do remember feeling that I needed to persevere at some point, by the end I thought it was fab. Carry on I say.

Ecmo · 30/08/2007 22:36

Yes definately persevere.. the first bit needs concentration but it then gets much easier to read. I have just finished it and it was really good.

JeremyVile · 30/08/2007 22:37

I can never remember what happens at the end of books but I always know if i'm diappointed or not and I definitely was not disappointed with Time travellers Wife.

I'd say persevere.

I gave up, life's too short.

debbiedlemur · 31/08/2007 20:30

Keep going, I struggled with the first part kept thinking I would give up but I was on holiday and had nothing else to read. I persevered and loved it, cried buckets though. It really does get better.

lissielou · 31/08/2007 20:32

i gave up, i will never get those precious hours back.

try the thursday next series instead!

dustystar · 31/08/2007 20:32

I really liked it but quite a few people on here slated it. I'd say persevere though.

MrsSpoon · 31/08/2007 20:34

Give up, it's pants.

poppysocks · 31/08/2007 20:35

I'd persevere too. Found the beginning trying, but was intrigued about the basic concept. Once I had that I was sucked in, cried buckets and finished happy.

shreddies · 31/08/2007 20:35

Give up.

TheMaskedPoster · 31/08/2007 20:35

ditto Califrau ... wasn't overly impressed

OrmIrian · 31/08/2007 20:39

Give up. It's a heap of objectionable sh*te.

IMO obviously.

expatinscotland · 31/08/2007 20:40

Give up, the ending's shite.

Ash80 · 31/08/2007 20:41

I say give up, i too gave up,was too slow and boring!!!

Lostmykeys · 31/08/2007 20:42

I gave up and am glad for the feedback on here as I won't bother trying it again

professorplum · 31/08/2007 20:43

Give up. Its creepy and dull

expatinscotland · 31/08/2007 20:43

The 50 page rule! The 50 page rule!

Slubberdegullion · 31/08/2007 20:48

Nooooo, keep going. I enjoyed it..it's not the greatest novel ever, but you need to find out what happens in the end.

expatinscotland · 31/08/2007 20:48

I can tell you what happens in the end and save you the bother, Sidge .

daisyandbabybootoo · 31/08/2007 20:50

I thought this was a fab book...it had me gripped from the offset.

another vote for persevering.

expatinscotland · 31/08/2007 20:51

But if it hasn't gripped you by page 175 it's probably not a book that you'll find fascinating.

I gave up after 40 pages. Found it tiresome in the extreme.
