It's called "Exit Music" according to Amazon.
SO, will Rankin kill off Rebus, or have him settle down to a peaceful retirement? What do you think?

I think he'll kill him off though I hope not.

did you see the Rankin programme on Edinburgh? He said how he'd thought about killing him off. Hope he doesn't though.

I suspect he'll die. Siobhan being 'groomed' to replace him...hmmmmm not sure...

I hope he has a one night stand type thing with Siobhan in the last book. Poor man must be walking like John Wayne now - he hardly ever gets any action.

If he doesn't kill him off, then he will always be "there" iykwim.... Siobhan will go and visit him in ten years time and he'll come out of retirement to solve one last case.

It won't be believable. I think he has to kill him off.

But when he does, it will be almost like losing an old friend

Was chatting about this to DH last night. His suggestion is that Rebus, who is a Hibs fan, is called out to investigate something at Tynecastle (Hearts ground - big Hibs rivals) and has a heart attack and dies in Tynecastle.
