How does audible work? Considering for xmas gift *title edited by MNHQ*

Sorry if I’m being thick.

I am considering this as a gift for my dyslexic dd.

I have seen the black friday deal, but am thinking just buying an annual subscription (12 credits) is £10 cheaper.

I am wondering how the returns policy works. I have looked at some of the t&c stuff but it’s not clear to me.
Can she listen to a book and then exchange it? Thus functioning as a bit of a library with 12 slots?
Or can you only return un-listened to books?
What happens if you listen to the first couple of chapters and then decide you aren’t

Any advice would be much appreciated. I’m not especially keen on amazon, but they have so many books she would be interested in that are not available on another format.

I love Audible,but to answer you about returns if you don't like a book you can return it for credit,but only up to a point -it is an audio book buying service not a library and your ability to return books will be suspended if you take the mick.
You can borrow audio books from your library,did you know?

Audible do a lot of sales,2 for 1,cheaper credits if you use all yours and want more,a "deal of the day" for £2.99..you are still paying but a lot less than you'd pay otherwise.

I use Borrow Box for free from the Library. Once you register you are in! They email you that you have borrowed, and tell you that your time is nearly up too. Amazing service. Both Audible and reading. You can reserve too, and will be emailed to tell you that your book of choice is available.

Check it out please. But it may depend on your Council funding or something.

We do borrowbox; unfortunately there are an increasing number of titles only available on audible.
