Has anyone else read this? I loved it - it reminded me of Anne Tyler and was a very satisfying read

Not yet but it’s on my list! Reviews have been good and interested me enough. Although the comparison to Anne Tyler leaves me with mixed feelings. I loved some of her books but others have left me cold.

Me too. But she's like Tyler at her best.

Not yet OP as I prefer reading paperbacks and think it's hardback only at the moment?

Ann Patchett is an excellent writer IMO. I enjoyed Bel Canto and State of Wonder in particular.

And if you ever get the chance to listen to her at a literary event, she's a very warm and engaging speaker.

Yes - I liked it.

I was lucky enough to get it from the library coo. A lovely, brand new, hardback. Luxury!

I managed to snag one of the gorgeous editions from Waterstones, but haven't read it yet. Does it live up to expectations, having read BC and SofW?

I was totally new to AP, so I can't judge.
