Has anyone else read this? I’d be interested in your thoughts as I’m left a little dissatisfied, as if there should still have been a few more chapters or explanations.

Hello #Zacsmum
In some ways I think the ending was perfect - the 'two left standing' could not have been left at large in the general community.

I liked the book, but didn't love it as I had her others.
A few plot holes I feel, such as why the children were not given a shed load of therapy/de-brainwashing. Also, why would Romy be so keen to join the new community even though she knew who was responsible for the mass poisoning?
The aunt, I thought, was a weak character.

I generally love her books but was left a little cold with this one.

I enjoyed this, but found parts of it really daft - I couldn’t believe the children being shipped straight off to regular school with no decompression period, for example. I found the ending both “right”, and lacking.

The Wicked Girls was such a truly excellent book I am not sure anything could live up to it.
