I have just finished this book and I was sadly disappointed

now I know the title should have put me off, but I really like Jennifer Crusie and she hasn't had a book out in ages. Some of it was good (I'm guessing these were the Crusie bits) but the rest was dire. Especially the bit where they get matching tattoos. Class.

So what do I read now?

long books
historical books (unless short and funny)
depressing books

It was dreadful (apart from the bit about Mare being Queen of the Universe and running the local video shop, which I suspect came from JC)

have read all alexander mccall smith books. (esp no1 ladies detective agency)very simple stories but engaging

simple but and calming
he seems to have a good insight into relationships

yes I do like his, must get some more from the library

I love the alexander mccall smith books- particularly the wee boy bertie who goes to the steiner scholl and gets bullied by Tofu. I think he is churning the no 1 ladies detective agency books now, though
