Getting on this thread

Greenteandchives · 06/07/2019 13:58

I really enjoyed Our House, by Louise Candlish. Plenty of twists, but I am not really sure if it would be classed as a psychological thriller.

StealthPolarBear · 06/07/2019 13:59

Is that the one where the chapters are just called jack-emily-jack-emily etc?

Greenteandchives · 06/07/2019 14:04

Don’t think so, Stealth as that’s not the names of the main characters.

StealthPolarBear · 06/07/2019 14:08

Sorry I know its not but I can't remember their names.

Greenteandchives · 06/07/2019 14:15

Stealth they are Fi and Bram. Not sure which book Jack and Emily feature in, though. (derailing thread slightly...)

StealthPolarBear · 06/07/2019 14:16

Definitely not the same! I'll have a look back on my kindle

VictoriaBun · 06/07/2019 14:19

I Let you go by Claire Mackintosh , it's her first and imo her best.

BlueMerchant · 06/07/2019 14:22

Paula Daley's are fab. 'Just what kind of mother are you?'

StealthPolarBear · 06/07/2019 14:23

The hunting party was really good I thoight

StealthPolarBear · 06/07/2019 14:24

The one I'm thinking about is called the house by Simon lelic

StealthPolarBear · 06/07/2019 14:25

Agree Our House is good
The Party by Elizabeth Day
Engleby by Sebastian Faulks is really good, not sure if it can be called a psychological thriller exactly but really good.

CrayonAngel · 06/07/2019 14:50

I love Ms Smilla's Feeling for Snow. Also Camilla Lackberg's books are a good read if you like Scandinavian type crime novels.

Greenteandchives · 06/07/2019 16:53

Well done Stealth is it any good though?

Hftgl · 06/07/2019 17:24

Thank you all so much, I will get on the kindle store now and download a few.

I’ve just read Jane Casey’s latest. Really like her series

StealthPolarBear · 06/07/2019 17:35

Green tea I found it hard going mainly because of the back and forth. I find the same with books that jump from 1972 to 2004 to present day. Just makes me switch off.
I really loved the hunting party, I like sort of domestic thrillers. I also really enjoyed the last which is a dystopian novel but really good imo. I googled the author and it doesn't look like she's done anything similar

ElspethFlashman · 06/07/2019 17:38

Cara Hunter has a few good 'uns.

ScreamingValenta · 06/07/2019 17:39

I recently enjoyed The Lie by C L Taylor.

happyinherts · 06/07/2019 17:41

Puppet Show - MW Craven

StealthPolarBear · 06/07/2019 17:41

I'm recognising authors but not books, really looking forward to looking these up

mrsjackrussell · 06/07/2019 17:45

You let me in by Lucy Clarke. The girlfriend by Michelle Francis.
Thoroughly enjoyed these books.

TapasForTwo · 06/07/2019 17:48

Follow You Home by Mark Edwards

OrdinarySnowflake · 06/07/2019 18:08

Ooh there's some good sounding books on here! Have nothing to add as all the thrillers I've read recently were a bit rubbish...
