Whats the thng with first editions? why are they so special?And are there not HUNDREDS of the things printed as first editions?

Ho hum. Well it is just another thing to collect isn't it? And anything rare-ish is usually coveted. I can't remember the exact no but the first Harry Potter only had a print run of 100,000 or so whereas the fourth had a run of a million. I.e. A first edition of the first is WAY better!

My dad sells these things, and it all depends on author, rarity, condition, etc.
