Has anyone got a copy of this handy? I read it a while ago amd remember that in the acknowledgements section there was a book mentioned that explained what illnesses people thought to be changelings might have had. I didn't take note of it but now i really want to look it up.
Can anyone help??

All it says is that a book called 'the good people, new fairylore essays', Peter narvez 1991 gives modern day consideration of the affliction.

Loved this book!

You should read Angela Bourke’s brilliant The Burning of Bridget Cleary — AB is an Irish folklore scholar, and brilliant on changeling lore. I’m not fond of Hannah Kent’s work. She’s done her Iceland book, her Irish book. Who knows where she’ll pillage next?

I shall look up Bourke. I admit I wasn't clear why Kent had written about Ireland but I did enjoy the book.
