Just that really - or advice whether this is a good/bad idea. We've never had any poetry, but people are pretty tolerant and if someone doesn't like a book, they don't bother with it.
I wondered about a Daisy Goodwin anthology, but they're quite themed and maybe something broader would be better? Any ideas? TIA

It sounds like a good idea for a book group, could produce a good discussion.
Some ideas

Penguin's Poems for Life (£4.99 Kindle)

Poetry Please (£4.68 Kindle)

The Map and the Clock, chosen by Carol Ann Duffy (£6.99)

6 Poets, Hardy to Larkin, chosen by Alan Bennett. (£6.03 paperback)

If you just want one author - The World's Wife, by Carol Ann Duffy.

The Rattlebag has a broad spectrum. Some authors have multiple entries such as Emily Dickinson and Hardy so could choose one of those or choose a few poems from one era.
