Anyone got any recommendations for books in the Mind, Body and Spirit genre? Something to help with negative thinking patterns. Preferably written by a psychiatrist or psychologist.
Thanks

'At last a life' Paul David- not a psychologist /psychiatrist but an anxiety sufferer. Talks about negative thinking patterns.
May not be what you are looking for but I can't recommend it more!
Also, again maybe not what you are after ( Ruby Wax) but 'How to be Human' and 'Frazzled'.

The Ruby Wax ones do have a quite a bit of data and professional psychological input.

Change Your Thinking with CBT by Sarah Edelman (who is a clinical psychologist) is a good clear introduction & I think helpful.

A bit different, but I have found the Non-Violent Communication books very helpful in difficult periods of my life. Not just in terms of communicating with family/friends but particularly because they focus on teasing out your own underlying needs and not getting stuck in negative loops.
