Audible - free book offer

Just seen this on Money Saving Expert. I've got Amazon Prime and haven't subscribed to Audible in the last 12 months so can get 4 free audiobooks! Just need to remember to cancel before the fees kick in.

Trying to decide what to get, am a bit overwhelmed with the choice...any recommendations?

Bumping

Has anyone listened to Eleanor Oliphant as an audiobook? It's one I want to read but generally prefer non-fiction to listen to.

Considering getting something about Captain Scott after watching 360 Degrees South on YouTube which was AMAZING.

Hi Margot, did you find anything interesting?

I'm really enjoying His Bloody Project at the moment, a really interesting blend of fiction and nonfiction. The narration is great, so i'd recommend that.

Also really enjoyed Norse Mythology, again the narration was really good. Lighter than His Bloody Project and each chapter is a tale so great for listening on journeys when you need to pick it up and put down.

I haven't listened to Elinor Oliphant, so can't comment, but found reading the book a bit hollow.

A recommendation is to listen to a sample before choosing: a bad narrator has ruined books for be before (eg Discovery of Witches trilogy)

Bit late to the party, I did. Loved it. Kept sitting outside the house after work.

Oh I've only just seen these replies - I read His Bloody Project, thought it was great. I haven't even used a single Audible credit yet! I started listening to a podcast which has loads of episodes so have 3 credits sat waiting for me! Smile
