Hope you find this ladies!

OP posts:

It has to be Harry that kills him doesn't it, according to the prophecy?

AlbusPercivalWulfricBrianSun · 13/07/2007 15:43

Yes but what did DD say - does anyone remember?

AlbusPercivalWulfricBrianSun · 13/07/2007 15:43

I never pressed that twice - how did that happen?

PhoenixSongbird · 13/07/2007 16:20

Can't remember - does he give a reason?

That's what it said below. I'm going to go home and check.

kneazlechick · 13/07/2007 16:36

Dumbledore couldn't have killed Voldemort because of what the prophecy says - it has to be Harry who does it. This is what he says at the end of OotP.

What he doesn't say until HBP is all the information about the horcruxes.

The horcruxes are the reason V didn't die when he tried to kill H, too. So, so far we know they have 'saved' him twice - once when AK backfired from H and once when D decided not to kill him in the MOM.

BecklePhoenixBird · 13/07/2007 17:16

it all makes sense now... realised it is all to do with Horcruxes. I guess as long as V is in a body they have a good knowledge of where and what he is so no point killing him until the Horcruxes are gone.
(silly Beckle - sorry guys)

rosmerta · 13/07/2007 19:57

MrsW, are you here? Got a couple more questions about the film. Please tell me they include Fred & George's leaving scene?! I'd be amazed if they left that out!

Also, rereading OotP in the bath and came across this (I marked the page especially ):
"'What do you think about this?', Hermione demanded of Ron, and Harry was reminded irresistibly of Mrs Weasley appealing to her husband during Harry's first dinner at Grimmauld Place."
A foretelling of the epilogue perhaps?

whompingwillowinthedewmeadow · 13/07/2007 21:00

Just reread the Christmas at Grimmauld Place with Sirius - and Harry's sense of foreboding poor Sirius! Wonder did he die a virgin?!!

tigerschick · 13/07/2007 21:04

I think you're being over-romantic ... a little bit anyway

It would be nice for all 3 of them to survive but I just don't know.
I think that the AK curse is so quick. You get used to people dying in films and it seems to take ages but with AK it's all so ... quick! I had to re-read Cedric's death twice before I really realised what had happened.

I guess what I'm trying to say (not very well, I'll admit) is that, if one of the main characters has to die, I hope they get a better death than a flash of green light and, 'boom', they're dead. May be it's just me but ... there you go!

TransfiguratingLily · 13/07/2007 21:06

Hi Dew I still can't find my car key! I wish I could do a finding spell.

kneazlechick · 13/07/2007 21:07

Bugger - forgot to change name back!!

My comment about being romantic was to rosmerta

WWITDW - LOL!! I don't think so, he was too good looking.

whompingwillowinthedewmeadow · 13/07/2007 21:08

What about apparating to Cork? Or a portkey woudl be better as the LOs are underage!

whompingwillowinthedewmeadow · 13/07/2007 21:09

Kneazle - what does WWITDW mean??

I totally agree - in my head, he is a total shag.

TransfiguratingLily · 13/07/2007 21:11

poor Sirius. I reckon there will be a few virgins dying in DH (sob)

Maybe we could find a magic fireplace and a spot of flu powder to get us there.

whompingwillowinthedewmeadow · 13/07/2007 21:12

I remember hoping I didnt die a virgin, and now I dont want to die before I read the last HP!!

TransfiguratingLily · 13/07/2007 21:12

Whomping, those are your initials

TransfiguratingLily · 13/07/2007 21:14

I think I'll call you whomping

rosmerta · 13/07/2007 21:14

Maybe I am a bit of a romantic, so? [adopts aggressive stance]! You won't be laughing when I'm right [stabs finger at kneazlechick]

whompingwillowinthedewmeadow · 13/07/2007 21:15

O oooooo yes!! Bit slow - preggie brain and all that!

OotP - Snape says that the DL almost always knows if you're lying to him and you have to be a skilled Occlumens to fool him - he is SO definitely a goodie and has to be vindicated in the end. Even though he's vile, I think he's one of teh bravest. I dont want him to die- he has also had a sad tragic life

TransfiguratingLily · 13/07/2007 21:18

D'you think Snape's a virgin then?

Wonder will I have to hoak through the bin for my keys....I've looked everywhere else.

whompingwillowinthedewmeadow · 13/07/2007 21:20

greasy curtains - who's going to run their fingers through that?

I think he has never been loved

kneazlechick · 13/07/2007 21:24

LOL whomping - I saw someone else call you WWITDM on the last thread but I like 'whomping' better

Rosmerta - I hope you are right - I, too, have rose tinted glasses

Lily - I seriously hope that Snape is a virgin!! Makes me feel a little queasy to think otherwise!!

rosmerta · 13/07/2007 21:27

Even more queasy when persephone kept insisting that Lily & Snape had 'done the deed' - bleurgh!
