Hello!
I have a vague memory of a book I read sometime in the last few years and it’s driving me mad trying to remember what it is!
So all I really remember is the main character is a women who is a mother to 2 girls of school age (I think)
I think the book starts with her being invited to go for drinks with colleagues. She ends up so drunk and in a complete state and you’re meant to think it’s a one off but it turns out she’s an alcoholic. Secretly drinking when the kids are at school etc.
The husband finds out and their marriage falls apart.
I think it’s set in the UK but not sure.
Its sort of a dark comedy as I remember some bits were quite funny.
I know it’s pretty vague but anyone any ideas?
