Looking for a lost book

Looking for a lost book. I read it in the early 70's and had thought it was by Elizabeth Jane Howard, or maybe Elizabeth Manor. But I can't seem to find it. Its written in the first person, young woman narrator, goes to stay with large family in English country house, ends up having affairs ( in a genteel kind of a way ) with most of the family ! Ring any bells for anyone ?
Please share this - somebody must know !

Could it have been part of Cazalet chronicles,by EJ Howard? the first in the series here

On re-reading I think this series was too late to be the one, but you can visit her page on Amazon to see if anything else rings a bell.

It sounds great. I'd like to read it if you do find out what it is!

Odd Girl Out by Elizabeth Jane Howard

Actually think you might be slightly confusing two books by EJH.

In Odd Girl Out the girl goes to stay with a couple at their country home and ends up sleeping with each of them in turn.

The Beautiful Visit is written in the first person and is set around the time of WW1. A young girl [who is never named, IIRC] visits a family in a large country house.
