Does anyone in today's society actually prefer Charles Darnay to Sidney Carton?

It's our book club book this month and I love it!

I can see that in Lucy's day you might steer clear of Sid, but he does it for me every time [sigh]

Oh yeah, Sidney for me too. Darnay is so dullsville. I think Carton is one of Dickens best drawn characters as Dickens characters go....he is not a grotesque in the way so many of Dickens are. I love his drinking and his silent love for the (also dullsville) Lucy...........

I don't know. I didn't really think about it that way when I was reading it. I actually think they're both pretty sexy, but I agree that Lucy was dull.

Ooooooooh Sidney Carton every time, since I was far too young to understand why (was Dirk Bogard in one of the films wasn't it? hmmm)!
