Enjoyed them both! Thought the Macbeth one would be hard work but really got into it!

I have had Macbeth in on my reading list at the library for several months now, but have held off ordering it due to the many scathing reviews out there.
Would you recommend it?

Haven't read Macbeth yet but love Jo Nesbo so will read this next! Loved the woman in the window. Ladies you should read the wife between us followed by their new book an anonymous girl. They're fantastic and so well written!

Joyful- I read somewhere , something about A J FInn - alluding to something but it did not go into detail.

Waycat - it depends. Obviously it is a modern 'take' on Macbeth. My friend (who knows her Shakespeare) ) mentioned that if you know the play you might feel differently. I only know the famous quotes etc and just took it as a Jo Nesbo book. It is in a modern setting so if that is likely to bother you, then don't bother with it. I found it quite a page turner as it went on. All about politcs, crime and jostling for position. I imagine the original was on those lines (really must read up on some shakespeare!!!).

Deathraystare, thanks for that info re Macbeth.

I have never read the original (Shakespeare was never my thing!), but am a huge Nesbo fan so I think I shall certainly order Macbeth and give it a go. I don’t for a minute think it will be anything like the Harry Hole books, but anything by Nesbo is worth considering.

I wanted to love Woman In The Window but anyone who has ever watched the movie Copycat knows a huge amount was pinched from this. Its seriously unoriginal. It all makes sense reading this article about him.
