I love a good audio book while I'm cooking or tidying up or drifting off to sleep.

Are there any you would recommend? Or any readers you especially enjoy listening to?

I loved The Nix and The Goldfinch and also like the Number 1 Ladies series.

I loved "The Heart's Invisible Furies" by John Boyne and "The Woodcutter" by Reginald Hill. I thought they were excellent stories and the narration was very well performed.

Recent ones I've enjoyed have been:

Lean In Sheryl Sandberg
Becoming Michelle Obama
Diary of a Bookseller Shaun Bythell
Ruby Wax Mindfulness Guide for the Frazzled
This is Going to Hurt Adam Kay

I look out for anything narrated by Anton Lesser or Juanita McMahon. Though I listen to them while driving on motorways, so killing me gently to sleep is not the desired effect.

I also enjoyed the Alan Furst ones I found in my local library (Spies of the Balkans, Mission to Paris etc.)

Bill Bryson as read by Kerry Shale is good as well.

lulling me gently to sleep. Although the effect would probably be the same.

Most of Alice Hoffman’s work is lovely to listen to.

The Dark Circle - Linda Grant
Waiting for Sunrise - William Boyd
The Robber Bride - Margaret Atwood
Strictly Between Us - Jane Fallon
Losing You - Nicci French

These are the latest I have enjoyed. Trouble is I often have to replay them again, because I drift off to sleep before the disc has finished.
