What is this children’s book?

I read a book when I was a child and want to find it again for my DC. I think it was by Enid Blyton. There were some children on an island (or maybe not!) who were captured by a group a baddies and had to live in a cave (I think). What I definitely remember is that each day the children were led blindfolded somewhere and they eventually hit on dropping a trail of pebbles for someone to find and follow.

It’s not The Secret Island, The Island of Adventure, The Mountain of Adventure or The Sea of Adventure!

Any ideas anyone?!

I have also read this book and think it is blyton, but can’t remember which one.

There is an Enid Blyton society with a forum for Hardcore fans, may be Worth posting their too.

Good luck.

It’s so frustrating - can’t think what it could be. Thanks Lotts for the suggestion, I didn’t know about that forum. Not sure I’m a diehard fan but desperate times etc!

Oh wow Paddington, it’s The Adventurous Four Again!! The review says:” when next day Andy's father resumes his searching and they are again blindfolded and spirited away, the children drop sea shells to give themselves a trail to follow at night to their enemy's lair.” That’s it! I’ve spent months wracking my brains and looking and now, within minutes, got the answer! Thank you! Off to Amazon now....
