Plantagenets; children's book; 80s

I remember reading some brilliant books towards the end of primary school set in the Plantagenet period. I can't remember anything else about them. Does anyone know what they might be called or who wrote them?

Mantlemass series by Barbara Willard?

Yes, Mantlemass sounds the likeliest to me too. Starts with The Lark and the Laurel if I remember correctly.

Jean Plaidy wrote some great books about the Plantagenets. I read them years ago so not sure how old I was.
