Ooh I love a good kindle deal, thanks! I've discovered lots of books I couldn't have bought at full price that I've enjoyed on here.

antimatter · 21/12/2018 14:06

I just bought for £0.99 this book my friend recommended:

I'll be reading Convenience Store Woman - they've also got pillars of the earth for 99p but I have a much-loved paperback version already. What about you OP?

EatSleepRantRepeat · 21/12/2018 14:12

Whoops cross-posted Blush Do you know if there has there been a post recently on people's book list challenges? I like those but they're hard to search for the threads if I miss them.

JiltedJohnsJulie · 21/12/2018 21:57

The accidental further adventures of the 100 year old man at £1.49.

Cherrypi · 22/12/2018 10:12

Bookworm and the Curtis settenfeld short stories collection are 99p

halcyondays · 22/12/2018 22:42

Bookworm by Lucy Mangan is on today for 99p.

Cherrypi · 23/12/2018 17:13

Is Vox any good?

brizzledrizzle · 23/12/2018 18:12

I've bought the Bookworm some time ago at 99p, I've only half read it though. I'm also waiting for the Simon Reeve book Step by Step to drop a bit more in price.

Not on the kindle but the BBC have just posted a list of books coming out in 2019, I'm ridiculously over excited at a new book coming out that I really want to read as it's by a favourite author of mine.

I can't wait for The Testaments to come out - Handsmaid's Tale has been a favourite for many years, and although I still enjoyed the later series of the TV show, I was wondering whether their character arcs were how Margaret Atwood would have wanted them.

brizzledrizzle · 23/12/2018 19:18

I'm looking forward to that one as well but the one that I really can't wait for is the Joanne Harris one.

Cherrypi · 23/12/2018 20:04

The Jeanette Winterson sounds interesting.

SugarmouseHouse · 25/12/2018 12:41

I just bought Little Deaths by Emma Flint and I think I'll get the book about Catherine the Great too. It isn't part of the 12 days sale but I also got The Royal Art of Poison by Eleanor Herman for 99p.

SugarmouseHouse · 25/12/2018 13:43

I'm not sure if it's part of the 12 days sale but I also just bought The Illumination of Ursula Flight for 99p.

I have an Amazon voucher so I'm using that. I really should hold back some for the January Kindle deals but it's difficult.

brizzledrizzle · 26/12/2018 12:33

I've bought Science(ish) - the peculiar science behind the movies,
Thinking about it only makes it worse - David Mitchell
The stranger in the woods by Michael FInkel
Three things about Elsie by Joanna Cannon
A stranger in the house by Shari Lapena
Bring me back by BA Paris
The lives we told by Camilla Way
Animal: the autobiography of a female body by Sara Pascoe

Got to get the book buying in before 1/1/19 as I'm planning to have a year without buying any books this will not happen
