What's worth reading on Kindle Unlimited?

I took the 3 month trial for £1.99 recently as there was an Oscar Wilde book, a book on the The Templars and a book about Alexander Hamilton that I wanted to read. I've also read two psychological thrillers which I quite enjoyed and one or two others, but where do I go next?

There's so many obviously bad books on there that I want to avoid but there must be others that are worth reading. I'd appreciate any recommendations. I'm particularly looking for non fiction, literary and perhaps a good crime story.

I'm not a book snob at all but I don't want to waste my time on anything that is poorly written or edited.

TIA.

The DCI Ryan series by LJ Ross is a good crime series. I'm just about to start the latest one.

Thank you, Kitcatcha. That sounds perfect and I've just downloaded the first book.

If you enjoy American police procedurals I can recommend Robert Dugoni's Tracy Crosswhite series. I am on number 6! I have read and abandoned so many rubbish freebies it has been a pleasant surprise to find these. They are well written and the characters nicely developed. I can't stand gore, and these are more discreet than most, no hideous descriptions, just a crime team doing their job. Hope this helps!

Just look at the Daily Deals and other deals. I have been doing this for a couple of years and have built up a fantastic varied library of books, all of which only cost 99p each.

Thank you CarolinePooter. Those sound ideal as I'm really not a fan of gore either.
