Bookshops in Oxford

I'm off to Oxford this week (just for a day), can anyone recommend a really good bookshop for me to visit?

Blackwell's on Broad Street in the city centre is wonderful, and the classic one to visit. Make sure you explore upstairs and in the mahoosive Norrington room in the basement.

Sadly, some of the amazing secondhand bookshops have now gone, but there are still two very good Oxfam dedicated bookshops - one on Turk Street and one on St Giles.

If you happen to be visiting Blenheim Palace, there's also a magic independent shop in Woodstock: www.woodstockbookshop.co.uk/?m=1

It's not massive, but is stacked to the brim with exciting reads and gives me the feeling I used to get when I was little in bookshops :-)

Hope that's of some help - have a lovely time there!

Has to be Blackwells. One of the great university bookshops

Sorry, Turl Street, not Turk!

Also Waterstones opposite Debenhams

Blackwells, all of them. I'm missing Oxford now.

I spent a LOT of money in Blackwell's when I lived in Oxford. Enjoy!
