sirius will return in a portrait, hidden somewhere in grimmaud place. it will be a young sirius, pre blood- traitor. the blacks are a rich family. they'll all have portraits dotted about.

james potter was an auror (do we already know this? - just seems a bit obvious)

on the basis of that dumbledore horcrux theory - snape could have one for mercy-killing dumbledore. so if he perishes saving harry, neville, or any number of characters, he can re-exist due to his own horcrux. ( admittedly, this may be clutching at straws..) snapes redemption is love - the thing that saved harry. he will be 'saved' by the love of a good woman

I have just read that essay Lilibet! Very interesting but in my opinion a load of balls. The writer (please don't say now it is you, I will be forever ) says about any killing, whether intended or not, ripping the soul apart - I do not think killing by accident or in self defense is evil and therefore I do not think it would split the soul. I also think that even if accidental/self defense killing did split the soul that DD would not make a horcrux, he is not afraid of death. Plus if he was not truly dead then surely his portrait would not have appeared in the headmaster's study?
I don't think Sirius did kill Wormtail did he BOM (or BOW - like it!)
