Hope there aren't now about 10 of these cos we've all opened at the same time.

Oh BOM - I have never been so excited about a book coming out as this and I've never been on a thread about one before - I think the two go hand-in-hand. I used to look forward to the books coming out but had no idea about what I thought was going to happen. Both of the deaths so far have been total shocks to me as I didn't even know that someone was going to die!

Tho I have to admit that in HBP I flicked thru and read the chapter titles when I was about half way thru. And they suggested that someone was going to die (The White Tomb) and I had a feeling that it was going to be Dd (The Phoenix Lament) but I didn't really believe it!!

I quite like kneazlechick too, it keeps the cat theme going ... hmmm ...

I don't think she'd use the same thing twice, re the sibling wands.

I definitely think the power of the houseelves will be significant in defeating V. Dont know if I could cope with Dobby dying.

God I am going to need a treeful of tissues - Im either going to be prelabour, in labour, or popped, and you dont get more emotional than that.

I think I'm i denial. Like exams I need to be in a panic before I can revise.
So if we think Neville's wand is going to be important, otherwise why did he mention it, why do we think it will be?

my heart is breaking already. does no one think snape will live? i just can't make up my mind at all and will change my mind again and again until final predictions on friday week ( actually thursday for me as I'll be away...)

Twas pondering the possibility of Harry living with no powers and I think that would be a naff ending - such an anti-climax. I think for the huge climax it has to be that it'll be total superwizardness in defeat of V (with sad casulties of course) or sacrificing his own life to take V down.

It has to be Harry lives & defeats V but with lots of losses on both sides, only way it can be...

Think I'm sticking with this name for now but may switch back ...

persephone, I want Snape to survive, be shown in his true heroic colours, and become next Hogwarts headmaster! I feel he deserves it, for his miserable loveless life to date.

The trouble is that I don't think Snape can survive if he does turn out to be good - which I think he is - because there will always be people who don't trust him. His redemption must be totally self-sacrificing. Well, that's my opinion, anyway.

Well I do think/hope Snape will die but after being proven to be good. (Although I would like him to die been evil so that I can carry on my dislike of him.

Some weasleys may die, not sure if molly or Arthur or both. A twin or Bill! need to think more about that one. Now if Molly dies to defend her children will they have a magical protection? that could work. Percy dies saving Molly, molly dies to save the rest of the clan!

Wormtail will die as will a Malfoy, maybe draco hopefully his dad too!

I dont know if Bill will die after being bitten by the werewolf. I think that he has already suffered his tragedy - it'll be a different Weasley.

PSnape, I'm afraid I really do think the only way Snape can really redeem himself is by dying to save one of the goodies, probably Harry.

my thinking was that JKR would kill Bill off becuase then she doesnt have to give him a future (you know the way she works -she plans out every last detail even if its not in the books) but perhaps not! I cant take much more of fleur

Fleur isn't so bad, I love that face off with MrsW at the end of HBP. She loves him you heartless woman
