harry isnt a horcrux, it doesnt make sense but was good to ponder it for a while.

a teenage snape in love would be a 'horrible thing' because of the desperation and disbelief that someone could actually love him. I do see him as a bullied unloved child who loved someone who rejected him for his nemesis. Severus loves potions and hogwarts and still holds a flame for Lily..

Snape is my favourite character. Easily the most interesting.

Anyway the reason I mention it is that one of the last questions is: Will Harry use the Draught of Living Death to go through the veil?

I've just re-read OOTP and am now half way through HBP again. I really can't make up my mind about Snape anymore. With each re-reading it seems to become more complex. I feel that he MUST be a goodie because for him to be evil would in a way discredit DD's memory, though I still think that both Sirius and Dumbledore are going to be "reachable" in some way in book 7. Both the veil and Fawkes intrigue me there, as I think each of them will offer harry some sort of link to those he needs most, as it were.

And guess what I've spent this evening doing? Making a phoenix costume for dd2 ready for the book launch! Am v proud of it; all those flames/feathers lovingly coloured in! She won the cpmpetition last time, so we have a lot to live up to - lol!

I think if you've died you can't come back through the veil but maybe Harry will go through to find something out and if he's only pretending to be dead surely he can come back?

I cant put them in any decent order, I've tried and then changed it so many time.

I like different things about each book! I hated getting to the end of book 4 because it felt like harry was hurting so much with no happy end in sight. It was a long sad wait for number 5!

waterstones has mock-up copies at their till - like actual books but with blank pages.

i bet one of them is real! but i'm too embarrassed to start leafing through them all...

POA definitely my fave.
BTW MrsW call me SSMummy - is much easier. Just intrigued me that the colour of her eyes is important!
Just rereading HBP and they mention the word 'lucky' all the way through. Lucky re. Ron at Quidditch (when Harry pretends to put the FF in Ron's drink), lucky that Harry thought of a bezoar when Ron was poisoned, lucky Katie Bell only touched the necklace through a small hole in her glove. Made me think luck might be important and it would be comething V would discredit as not in his control. And doesn't Harry mention luck when he's telling the DA how he's fought V?

I think you can't bring people back thru the veil, but most people don't go thru the veil, they just die. Maybe because Sirius actually went thru it he will be able to come back thru it?????
Maybe he's in a sort of limbo.

I think Lily and Snape perhaps had a connection over the potions thing, and I think Lily did like James in the pensieve as Harry said he thought he saw her trying not to smile.

I was wondering last night when Harry won the Felix potion if he might use some against V.

Dew, I thought that if Harry/ his scar was a horcrux it was an accident. That V had done the neccesary spell but because he was making too many horcruxes which are so evil, when faced with the opposite thing...self sacrificing love, he didn't have the strength to kill Harry.
I thought if Harry's scar was a horcrux Voldemort didn't realise it would explain some of V powers being in Harry, scar burning, telepathic link etc.

Would explain why their wands locked and they couldn't kill each other because if they kill the other, they also must die...So it is Harry's protection but also stops him killing V. So Harry has to unhorcrux himself and lay himself bare before he can kill V??

And the last word is 'scar' apparently, so thought maybe he ends up without a scar and less magical powers... Not sure of course....

Now Dew never mind that...are you going to give birth whilst reading the Harry Potter book? And are you going to call the baby Harry or Harriot?
