Started reading GoF last night, & came across the first mention of the Lovegoods! Its when they're taking the portkey to the world cup & Amos Diggory says something like "there's no-one else, the Lovegoods have been there for a week".

Not very important or earth-shattering I know, but just thought I'd mention it

Yes I thought it was odd that Ron and Luna hadnt met they must live quite near to each other. but then again they did walk for ages to reach the portkey so maybe it was too much of an effort!

It draws people to it and it seems only people who have seen death can hear the voices(harry and Luna). Could it be that the voices are of the dead waiting to guide their loved ones through?

I was never convinced when DD had to draw back from Harry and wasn't communicating with him and being all distant(can't remember which book. Also somewhere it was mentioned that DD had a brother who looked just like him. I don't think JK will let anyone down with this book. Am toying with a midnight launch-but will just come home and go to bed I know!

That is a good point about Ron not knowing Luna. I think it links into the fact that we don't know what young wizard children do. I don't think that they go to a muggle school as Ron is really surprised that Dean's West Ham poster doesn't move. If he'd been among muggles before he would have known that. I think they must be Home Ed. Which would lead them to be quite solitary really. Except, I suppose, the ones who live in places like Hogsmead where there are lots of wizard families. Does anyone live in Diagon Alley? I know the twins live above the shop in HBP but I mean are there any houses there?

Hmm, have missed loads this weekend! Like the Malfoy theory although I still think the prophecy refers to Harry. DD was sure that Harry was 'the one' but only because V had decided that he was the bigger threat. I also think that if the Malfoys had defied V 3 times then he would have seen them as the bigger threat (and DD would have mentioned it). Also Draco's birthday is 5th June and the prophecy mentions a "child who is born as the 7th month dies."
Am really looking forward to the book coming out but unfortunately I go away the next day so have to pack and get the house clean (BIL is house sitting) on the Saturday! Grrrrr....

Ah, didn't know when Malfoy's birthday was. I suppose that scuppers that threory then.
Oh well.

It was described by moody as a "strange bloke" He was with mundungus when Harry caught him with the stolen stuff. He was in the original OotP
