I like murder mystery books, recommend a good one please.

I’m off on a relaxing sun holiday in about 3 weeks. I used to read all of Patricia Cornwell books about 20 years ago and loved them. I recently read the snowman and a fantastic book called the gingerbread house. Can anyone recommend a good one to take on holiday. Thanks

I Am Pilgrm by Terry Hayes is a great thriller book about someone who uses 9/11 to fake their own death and therefore commit 'untraceable' murders.

Night of the Miraj by Zoe Ferraris. Its not a detective type book but it is a mystery.

Magpie Murders by Anthony Horowitz.

Shard lake series?

Faith Martin - series writing about DI Hilary Green. They are all murders but have other plots woven in making them very enjoyable reading.

I second the Magpie Murders, best book I read last year.

The Word is Murder by the same author also excellent.

I love anything by James Patterson.

Tana French’s Dublin Murder Squad series, ideally starting with the first, In the Woods.
