AM reading it for book club next week and am finding it pretty dire tbh.The writing is really putting me off.Reminds me of Jilly Cooper stuff I read as a teen ffs.
Is it worth it or shall I chuck it under the bed ?

I gave up

It was like reading my diary when I was 14

It drove me bonkers

If you've got that far and you're not enjoying it, give up.

I really enjoyed it after it got going. I thought at first 'oh this is rubbish' but then rewalised I wanted to know more about the island and the people. I'd persevere!

Life's too short to read crap books. If you're not enjoying it read another one.
