I've just finished this book (All that was lost' by Alison May) and I've come on to rave about it! I've started another thread recommending it for a book of the month discussion. It's the story of a professional medium whose whole life is based on a lie that is beginning to unravel. It deals with grief, truth and the lies we tell each other and ourselves. The death of a child is sensitively dealt with but be warned if this is a difficult subject for you. The main characters are all flawed but very sympathetically dealt with - by the end my heart was bleeding for all three of them in different ways.
I'm not the author I hasten to add(!) but admit I did come across the book because I knew the author in a very friend of a friend of a colleague round about kind of way! I don't think I'd have seen it otherwise and I feel it should be better known.
