There was a book I read back in middle school that I can remember vividly but I have never been able to remember the name or author.
It was a Young Adult Fiction that had "Haunting" or "Haunted" in the title.
It was about a teenager whose parents just had a second baby girl and I believe they had just moved to a new house. The older girl took it upon herself to take almost full care of the baby. She even had a room connecting her to the nursery. She noticed a shadow fallowing the baby and kept having dreams about it. There was either a lake or a pond on the property and she somehow learned that the only way to save the baby sister was to light the water on fire. At the end she found out that lighting the water on fire actual raised the demon instead of banishing it.

If someone could help me figure out this book name I would be extremely grateful! Its only something that has bothered me for over 15 years! lol
