Some Hope ... really?

I'm sure someone on here said Some Hope was good. I did like Mother's Milk, sorta.

But christ on a bike, this book is depressing. I mean ... gah ... I'm only a few chapters in, and I already want to slap pretty much everyone ... It feels like a literary version of those Dave Peltzer things ...

have not read it but amazoned it and it does sound like a literary dave peltzer, and it sounds deeply depressing.

are you caputred by it? do you pick it up and read it or are you ploguhing your way through? if the latter give up - if the former then it is a good book just depressing.

Not the greatest advice but a bumo at least.

It is good, really. I am enjoying it, when I'm not horrified. And not much of it is about the childhood stuff, at least not directly.

Hmmm, the first book is good. The second is kinda annoying, so far. It's disgusting (I'm needlephobic, which doesn't help), depressing, and kinda pointless. Somewhat sub-HST. I love HST, but I think he did his thing better than this bloke is doing it.
