Medieval/fantasy ish

Angel like winged girl things were enslaved had the wings cut off and were killed/enslaved
Possibly nailed to big wagon wheels ( wodden not chocolate)

Sounds like my type of book! I’ll read it when we know what it’s called! If you like that genre try The Black Jewels Trilogy by Anne Bishop.

It was really good and I think it had a sequel

Archangel by Sharon Shinn? There are others in the series, but this one is the first.
