Anyone got any good recommendations?
Years ago, I read a fab book about a fat girl who drank an elixir and the world she went out to was reversed and the bigger she was, the better. It was very funny but I can't remember what it was called.

I saw a couple of episodes of a show called Dietland online, that was based on a book of the same name which got good reviews, and from the show is in the area you're looking for.

Errr there’s Big Brother by Lionel Schriver

I’m not convinced it works but others like it

Fast Food Nation - not fiction, a dbits about weight gain but it’s very inspiring to weight loss.

@HippyWannabe the book you are thinking of is ‘making it big’. (For what it’s worth I thought it was god awful!)

The surprising life of Charlie glass has a main character who loses a lot of weight quickly and was very well written.

The desperate brides diet club was a fun read. By Alison Sherlock. I read the one you did as well.

Another vote for Fat Chance. There's a bit about getting stuck on a changing room wearing something too small that's just so funny!
