Who else might I enjoy reading? Can anyone recommend anything?

Robin Hobb? I love Feist but it's quite old style fantasy and I usually read something a bit different in style like Patrick Rothfuss, Brent Weeks or Scott Lynch. Trying to remember what's on my dad's bookshelf. He's been reading Feist from the beginning.

Tad Williams; Terry Goodkind; Robert Jordan; Kate Forsythe; Kate Elliot; JV Jones; David Eddings; David Gemmel; Guy Gavriel Kay; Julian May; Ian Irvine; Trudy Canavan; Mercedes Lackey.

Fantasy sagas are not really my thing, but I do like Elizabeth Moon.

Read the first two or three Terry Goodkind books and then stop. They get slowly worse and worse, never better.

Agree with all of the above, but especially Patrick Rothfuss and David Gemmel. Peter F Hamilton is superb; Sci-fi, but somewhat fantasyesque.

Do you really like Janny Wurts? Feist's empire series is superb, but as a solo writer I found her unbearable.

Thanks all, will check out those recommendations. I haven’t actually read any stand alone Janny Wurts, it was the Empire series I was thinking of.

Jack Vance Lyonesse books? Marion Zimmer Bradley?

Agree with Robin Hobb, I love all her books.

Guy Gavriel Kay - Tigana and The Fionavar Tapestry in particular. I am in double figures the amount of times I have read the latter and still cry every time.

I also loved the Mistborn series by Brandon Sanderson.

Really don't. Apparently Feist gave her credit for what was really a consult. Curse of the Mistwraith may be the worst book I've ever read.
