Can't remember if it is ever mentioned anywhere?

And where were they supposed to live?

TIA

I thought 11 to 14 perhaps?

Kirrin Mrs Who!

PinkMartini · 03/06/2007 15:20

Dorset wasn't it?
Think Anne was the youngest at 11ish.
M Towers was Cornwall I know that.

NAB3 · 03/06/2007 15:20

According to my 6 year old Anne is 8, Julian is 16 and Dick is 15.

MamaG · 03/06/2007 15:22

Anne was 8? Really? I loved FF soooo much. I even went through a phase of crying "you beast" whenever someone was mean to me

WanderingTrolley · 03/06/2007 15:23

It doesn't matter how old Anne was because, as a "perfect little housewife," she was permanently fifty blardy five.

But, transexual cousin George - very forward thinking of Ms Blyton.

bewilderbeast · 03/06/2007 15:24

I thought both dick and george were 11 in th first book and anne was 10.

MrsWho · 03/06/2007 15:25

Thought it was somewhere down that way , we have just been listening to the one where they go to Finniston farm and that was Devon.

dd1 was adament that they were younger becaus they talek young but i put George at 11 as she had just gone away to school

I agree with wilderbeest. I'm sure they were in that age category.

God, I loved those books as a kid. I still do, in fact.

PinkMartini · 03/06/2007 15:28

According to my book, "who's who in Enid Blyton" Julian is 12 when we first meet him and much older by the end of their 21st adventure (bearing in mind they have and adventure per hol and 3 hols per year , that makes him about 19!!)

PinkMartini · 03/06/2007 15:29

Transexual cousin George is based on Enid herself at that edge according to my book.

tigerschick · 03/06/2007 15:32

It says that on Wikipedia too PM, the bit about George being based on Enid Blyton, tho when she was writing it she said it was based on someone she knew.

MamaG · 03/06/2007 15:32

y'know I'd love to read an EB autobiography/biography. As anyone read one? #Does one even exist?

WanderingTrolley · 03/06/2007 15:32

When I was about 10, I told a friend of my father I'd read all of her books.

"Christ!" he said. "I always thought Enid Blyton was a bloke!"

PinkMartini · 03/06/2007 16:05

Enid blyton stuff

NAB3 · 04/06/2007 13:29

Currently WHSmiths have all Enid Blyton books on 3 for 2 offer. You have to check at the till though as the computer doesn't automatically do it.
