Sharp Objects - read before watching TV series

Has anyone read and watched Sharp Objects. I usually prefer to read before watching and I’m off holiday soon so was thinking of buying and then watching when I am back?

I have read the book and recorded the series. Will try and start it this week. It isn't my favourite Gillian Flynn novel but I did enjoy it. I would also recommend Dark Places, which I preferred.

Is it the dad (Amma's dad, I mean) who did it? All that listening to classical music is a bit suspicious...

Did you read the book on holiday op? I have just finished the tv series and it was really good. A little slow in places but it helped to build suspense and atmosphere I think. The last episode is excellent. I remember so much more of the book now and I think I may reread it.
