Has anyone read this? I've just finished the 1st and am really looking forward to the rest.

They are great! Have you read Lymond too?

I loved the second one, it really opens out geographically; the African ones and the last one are hugely sweeping. The broader cast is really enjoyable too. Enjoy.

no. I read one of them for a book group, several years ago, and just wasn't in the zone for it at the time. I'm really looking forward to trying them again. I've just finished number 2 of Niccolo- they just get better! Fantastic strong women characters.

I have read the first two Lymond and loved them, though I know not everyone enjoys their labyrinthine plots. Sounds like I would love Niccolo too!

I was off sick for a week & reread the whole Lymond series then. I'd definitely recommend them.

And come to think of it it's been ages since I read Niccolo.
