If I liked that can anyone recommend something similar but not necessarily my the same author

'Ghost' is by Robert Harris, all of his books are pretty good. You might also like John Le Carre his earlier novels are better, I think, than the more recent ones - some are stand-alone, some part of the 'Smiley' series. Also you might try Attica Locke. My OH says Alan Furst is a good bet.
