I really enjoyed Normal by Graeme Cameron. Am keen to hear other suggestions though as am also on the look out for some good holiday reads!

Ive got The Bone Clocks by David Mitchell for my holiday. I’ve really enjoyed his other books and apparently this one is a bit on the creepy side.

Patricia Highsmith and Shirley Jackson both do creepy but well-written books. Patricia Highsmith's Ripley series is great, Shirley Jackson We have always Lived in the Castle somewhere between a murder mystery and horror. If you like science fiction then Children of Time by Adrian Tchaichovsky is great and has a satisfying ending. Classics like Rebecca and My Cousin Rachel are excellent mystery/gothic type books. The Collector by John Fowles is very readable but very unsettling.

Have you read the Woman in Black by Susan Hill?

Behind Her Eyes - Sarah Pinborough
Lie With Me - Sabine Currant
The Widow - Fiona Barton

The Little Stranger - Sarah Waters

If you want creepy this should suit you, it was a bit much for me
