Anyone read/reading this? I'm just over 1p0 pages in and can not get into it. Hate Mike, hate Verity and I just find it's not going anywhere.

Yes I've read it and thought it was repetitive and irritating in parts, however, I persevered to see what happened in the end.
So I won't say any more about that bit.

Just too long overall and Verity is bloody unbelievable. Agree with you that neither of the main characters are particularly likeable.
By the end I was sick to bloody death of them both!
