Is anyone else doing this? Book for June is to read a book about fathers and I wondered if anyone could recommend a good book?

What kinds of books are you keen on? If you like Victorian books then Edmund Gosse's memoir Father and Son is brilliant, or Dickens's Dombey and Son - the father is key in it. I know Penguin have a list of suggestions, on their list I thought Fun House by Alison Bechdel was a great graphic novel.

Thanks Dottie
Will start Dombey and Son - great recommendation.

The Road by Cormac McCarthy is about a father and son. It's brilliant but very dark.

Noah Hawley's The Good Father is a contemporary novel which I really enjoyed reading.
