What book would you suggest?

The Birth of Venus by Sarah Dunnant.

I have just finished The Boy at the Door by Alex Dahl, it's on kindle but paperback is 12 July and in the publicity blurb it says "Perfect book club read". It's set in Norway, and is an interesting thriller, which I imagine could spawn a lot of discussion for all kinds of reasons. ... Hope that helps.

Changing Planes by Ursula le Guin - series of short stories, SF but with an anthropological feel - I think it'd give you plenty to talk about.

Grief is the thing with Feathers by Max Porter is a fascinating, strange, short book. Lots for a book group to discuss.
